Home made Wrap around wing.

Home made Wrap around wing.
So i'm doing a full rebuilt of my 1986 Trans am WS6 as some of you know.
Started from the bottom and worked my way to the topside and its pretty much an all brand new car right now. However this topic i would like to show my home made spoiler.
Why did i do this myself? Well replacement parts are expensive 'for me a replacement GTA wing would cost me $500+$600 shipping+ $20 declaration costs + 21% tax' which would make a total of 1344. Which could possibly have fitment issues as i've seen around forums and would also have to be painted. If i would let someone do that, it would have come out at like $1800
Also i didn't want to go for a regular Firebird spoiler, i wanted to keep it orginal and its pretty much the only 'factory' functional design there ever was on these third gens.
Not to mention mine is a 1986 wing, the only year it came with a rubber texture. Which i did not want to lose. So i had to play around with paint until i finally found out how to make a rubber texture with paint. And it was heavy as hell with its metal frame. And even though my car didn't have any rust, the wing's internal skelleton was rusted and the rubber warped along with it.

Now i'll keep this nice and short because i'm busy and may go into detail later, here is my work. My self made spoiler:
Mold 1 and 2 made from the old one with parts cut out and replaced to remove warpage, the other one is on the table in front of it.
Light alloy mount slabs which are embedded into the design for optimal stenght.
Material: fiberglass Cloth no mat. I used double woven 446 and single woven 160.
When it was all ready, popped it out of that said mold, before cleaning it it looked like this:
After some work and in fiberglass primer and injected it with foam it was like this:
Notice what a mess this fiberglass work caused lol.
This is how i also tested fitment, fits great. Didn't have time to take pictures off it though because it was up and off and back to work.
Then i i painted it in a semi gloss black, played a bit around with the paint and found a way to create a rubber look alike finish. This is the result:
Total weight: About 5kg/11lbs
Not half bad right?

That's pretty impressive right there. I couldn't do that. Look forward to seeing it on the car.
