i know theres 2 types of lights the grids and the others what did the grids come on is it like the grids were on z's and others on rs's and sc's? thanks for clearing this up for me

 

Man, you really should use some more punctuation. Your post was a bitch to read through.. But anyway..

There's actually 4 types. The grids, the black stripe, the gold stripe, and the no stripe (has a groove for a stripe, but it's colored like the rest of the taillight).

The grid style came on Z28s of all years, and on all 90-92 models. The gold striped taillights came on Berlinettas (sometimes?! I've seen all kinds; but you never know this far down the line what's been replaced!)

Actually i think the girds on the z28s didn't come till 85 and up

 

there r 4 diff tail lights on maros..

82-84
base - clear w/ grove for stripe
berenlitta (i know its mispelled) gold strips
z - black stripe

85-90
rs & base - black stripe
z - grid

91-92
all - grid

Yup, that sound more acrute, as far as I can recall the grids weren't till later on, and finally they put them on all the cars, cuase people liked them so much.
