Ground effects for base model
Ground effects for base model
I am hoping to add ground effects to my 1987 base model camaro, right now it doesn't have any ground effects.
How much work goes into putting on the ground effects, do you have to drill holes to connect the parts, do they snap right on? How does it work?
Should I take my car to an actual shop to get the ground effects put on or would it be easy enough so I could put them on myself?
Thanks.

Well Its not to hard you just have to drill holes for the rockerpanel gfx,the lower door gfx,the quarter panel gfx. Then you have to weld a bracket beneath the door for the rocker panel gfx. Also you need to get an Z28(82-84 had a different nose, and 85 and up had the redesgined nose)or 88 and up RS front nose and rear bumper. This project isnt that hard you just have to get everything aligned properly.I did this myself a few month back and the car has a better look to it this way,and since I could never find any Z28s around my area, this was the best way to get the look of a Z.I wouldnt take the car to a shop unless you know the people personally and that they wont rip you off.
