Correct pressure Steel hood struts(lifts)

Hello. I bought a new set of hood struts for my 87 Iroc and they are too strong. When you try to close the hood they don't collapse as easy as they should. I know there are certain brands or part numbers for the correct pressure for steel hoods. Thanks for any help, Chris

I don't know the correct PSI, but I can tell you, these days, it's hard to get correct parts in the package. I bought a set of hatch struts for my 82 Trans Am a couple of years ago and when I ordered them the part number on the package was correct and it was for rear spoiler only. However, what was in the package was clearly, rear spoiler, rear wiper, rear louvers and someone sitting on the hatch at all times. These things are flat out ridiculous. They are going on my 89 once I get the rear louvers on it.
