Assembling the Door?

So, my 92 Camaro passenger door needs to be replaced. I have a donor door ready to assemble and is empty of any component parts. I plan to assemble the replacement door on the bench, pull the old door, and then install the replacement door. I have most of the components to build up the replacement door without removing the old door (the exception are the washers for the window I mentioned in the other thread and this is a power window system). I do have new door glass to go in it as well. Anybody have any guidance on the order in which to install the components for the easiest way to build up the replacement door? I have the correct rivets for the door glass so guessing the glass is the last item to go in since that should be easy with it on the bench.

Re: Assembling the Door?

Lot easier to handle the door when it's an empty shell. I'd hang the door shell first and build it up on the car. That way you can use both hands.

Re: Assembling the Door?

I just ordered a door lift to help with removing the old door and installing the fully loaded replacement door for that reason (I will need it for other projects too). Believe it or not this car is my snow car as well as daily driver so right now being in a snowy area, I need to quickly switch the doors and not have the car down for a while. So, going to build up the replacement on the bench and then just do a quick swap. Either way, wondering the easiest sequence of components to install.....
