88 door on an 86

88 door on an 86

hey guys, my 86 has a tiny bit of rust on the bottom of the door. this is somewhat annoying to me just because i want it to be as perfect as possible. i went to a junk yard today and found an 88 camaro with a door that seems to be perfect, will this fit on my car??? i hope to get some answers here soon so that i can ****** it up b4 anybody else gets to it. thanks

All thirdgen doors are interchangeable, the only thing you have to beware of is the holes that are drilled for the gfx.The Camaro's and Firebirds gfxs mounting holes are in different places I believe.

That 88 should fit no problem, but like the previous posting said the only thing you have to keep your eye open for this the difference GFX mouning holes between the TA's and Camaro's, but honestly if the door is solid, ****** it up regardless, because you can always fill/drill new holes for your ground fx.

The only other thing that you have to be worried about is the TA's also have a slightly different mounting bracket for the armwrests on the inside. If it is a camaro door, just pop that bracket out of your old door and rivit it into your new one, good luck!
