Hello,i know im on an impossible search but i guess i need to start somewhere. since they dont reproduce cowl/body tags anymore im trying to find some. i have a black 1987 iroc z lb9 5 speed car with tan color interior, i know all of this is legit as i have the original build sheet for the car. at some point before i owed the car some jackass removed the body number plate and the cowl trim plate i guess to paint the car but never put them back on??i have been trying to to find a scrap/parts 1987 irocz black lb9 5 speed car that i could get the plates off of.do any off you guys have any suggestions?thanks

 

The tag on the radiator support stopped getting put on in 85 ? 86 ?
87+ did not have a tag there (someone correct me if I'm wrong), the holes are artifacts in the stamping.

 

Correct. The '87s didn't have the same cowl plate that earlier cars had.

 

Awesome, that makes me feel better one less part to track down. but 87 did have the cowl tag right?on the firewall?
