im taking off the door panel, whats the best way to get the lock\door handle assemby thing off?

 

Get a really thin screwdriver & pop the 'bird emblem (plastic, be careful) out & the little circle (metal, no worry) behind the handle. It'll reveal the torx screws holding that on. Pull the lock lever from the door & it'll pop off the rod. Slide the whole plastic piece (towards the) back slightly to unhook the front from the door panel. Pull the handle out while turning the (that particular one) piece counter clockwise about 45º to get it off the handle. Don't pull it out too far, from the backside pop the lock button out. It's been a long while since I've had door panels on to take off but, if I remember right,, that's close to how it goes
