painting the nose
I remember hearing that when one paints the plastic nose you need to add a flex additive to the pant. is that still true?

Nope. Today's paints flex....A LOT. I am a PPG certified painter at a body shop, and I havent used a flex additive for years and years and years. You had to a very long time ago....yes, but not now.

Happy to help any time. The only thing you need to do different is use an adhesion promoter over the bare plastic before you seal it

Re: painting the nose
How about the best recommended way to strip a gazillion layers of old cracked paint to get to a solid substrate and then steps to build it back up for best results?
Serious question. I've done one front bumper with 80 grit by hand and a cheap *** electric sander, got about 4 more sets of fronts and rears to refinish.
