Easy way to get at outer window weatherstripping???

I am replacing the outer window weatherstripping on both of my doors. I took off the panel already as well as the triangular window filler. I can see that the weatherstrip is held on by like 5 phillips screws, but 2 of them are blocked by the window. What is the easiest way to get at them?? I will probably try removing the window bumper so i can pull the window away from the weatherstrip a little, but is there any easier way to do this???

Thanks

I also need to replace my weather strip. Where did you get your from and at what price. I believe the only way is to move the window out of the way

I ordered the parts from Classic Industries (www.classicindustries.com). They have a Camaro catalog that has just about every part you could need. Here are the part numbers:

G7962 - Weatherstrip RH outer
G7963 - Weatherstrip LH outer
K3195 - Corner filler RH & LH reproduction (goes on triangular window filler, guides and seals window)

The only easier way is taking out the glass.

You'll need to take out the trianguler filler piece also, there are a couple screws behind that also.

If you have one of those cheap 90º screwdrivers Craftsman tosses in with their screwdriver sets, that helps make it a little easier. Removing the 2 'bumpers' bolted to the door under the doorpanel will give you just enough room to use that screwdriver better. Stuffing something between the glass & outer part of the door is easier than trying to hold the glass too.

Classic Industies has some good stuff. I just put in new door locks this weekend from them.

I just ordered some from gmpartsdirect.com. They were cheaper than any place (including Classic) - $18.54 each plus postage. Part numbers are:
10124264
10124265

I wonder if this is the same thing I need.

My car was broken into, and whoever broke in. used something sharpe and sliced the black plastic stuff on yop of the door. I dunno how to say what im looking for. When you shut the door, this long strip, which starts from the mirror all the way bacl past the seat belt, keepts rain, water and wind..(becuase now when I drive, I get a whistle sound). Is this the same thing?? And could I replace it myself?? I'm not the smartest on cars.

Thank you.
