T Top bars

Hi,

i am am searching for a replacement t top bar for my 1982 Firebird, I see that hawks and Firebird central have stainless replacements however these are for years 1985 to 1992, yet I see second hand ones listed as 1982 to 1992, I have asked Firebird central is this would fit a 1982 but they don’t know, can anyone help please, was the same t top roof divider used on fisher bodies between 1982 and 1992 or did something change in 1985

thanks

As I understand it, some of the early T-top cars were made by a third party by cutting up hard top cars and riveting in additional braces. I would guess these cars require a different center bar than the factory made T-top cars. This is one of the aftermarket T-tops.

Re: T Top bars

Thanks, but as I wrote it’s a fisher body , gm t top, I want to know if there is a difference between a 1982 and 1985, but thanks for taking the time to repond.

Still no answer to this question? Rick's Camaro aka Eckler has it for $217 vs hawks $325. I will call tomorrow if no one knows and post what I find.

Re: T Top bars

Those pics posted look like a aftermarket added t-top NOT the Fisher factory units.
I also dont know why the 2 different fisher t-top bars are different because of the years.

No difference. I have an 83 and the bar on my car is from a later 80's model.
