Door locks

So I'm not sure if this is considered part of the "body" but I'm restoring my camaro and the driver side door lock works, but the exterior cap part is gone, I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue, I want to use my original key. Is there just parts I can buy?

Re: Door locks

Looks like there is more missing there than the cap that was linked by @mantaguy ...there should be a little door, or flap that protects the tumblers from the elements, as well as the outer flat piece...
Best bet is to take it to a locksmith with the key. They will rebuild it with the correct parts, and it's relatively inexpensive.

Re: Door locks

Or….you can order a new lock from Classic Industries or one of the other parts shops and have the locksmith rekey it to your existing key.

Re: Door locks

There's two tiny teenie springs that fit into those holes, or buy this.
