Fasteners for Window Weatherstrip

Hello all, this is my first post on the forums. I bought my 1986 TA a few months ago and one of the first things I have done is replacement of the original window beltline weatherstripping which was falling apart. In the process I lost a number of the fasteners, which appear to be 7mm self tapping screws, and found that some of the original mounting holes did not quite line up with the Classic Industries reproduction. It will probably just take some more fiddling, but I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find some of these OEM fasteners. Couldn't find anything online or in my catalog.

Re: Fasteners for Window Weatherstrip

I would take a sample to a REAL hardware store(not a big box HD or Lowes) and find a clerk who knows his inventory. That is a Hex head, self drilling sheet metal screw. You do not necessarily need self drilling, just sheet metal screws, the correct size. Paint them black if you wish and your good to go.

If they don't have them, Fastenal brick and morter store, or online will.

Thanks for the reply. This looks like the closest I could find on their site.

Looks good, as long as you have room for the washer.
