4th Gen Console in a 3rd Gen

Just wondering.....I wanted to put a 4th gen console in my 82' Camaro and had a few questions.....From reading the other topics about this I will need to get a console from manual car and I will have to cut my stock console and reuse the part where the radio and vent/heater controls are???? Now if i'm right well can i use the whole console with the radio and vent/heat controls from the 4th gen console.....WHat needs to be modified in order for it to fit.....Here is a pic of my interior....this is the way it looks now and i'm going to cahnge it to black and am going to put a radio in...and yes that is b&m q-stick shifter and i made the custom plastic trim to make it look nice.

You can only use the dash from a 4th gen, as the heater and radio pod is molded into the dash in 4th gens. Someone on here put the 4th gen console in their Camaro, it looks pretty good. I have one in my Vert, and I love it!

The 4th gen consoles don't have a radio pod and heater controls on them, they are up higher on the dash.
