Hood bird

Hello Friends,

If this is in the wrong place, please delete or PM me, and advise where I should post properly.

Had some bad luck and hit a deer with my GTA a few months ago. Its now in the shop getting repaired. I know its not original, but I have always liked the hood bird so I had one put on mine. I find myself looking for a replacement now that I need body work done.

I had the gold hood bird decal from Phoenix Graphix on it, which was not just the gold outline as I had expected. It was one big decal, with clear all the way through the middle parts of the bird. I seem to recall the original hood birds were just the gold outline with no clear backing parts. The clear parts were actually kind of dull looking on the car and I was never truly happy with it. I don’t want to get the same thing again. So I was wondering if anyone here knew who might sell a version that is just the gold and no clear, like the original? Hope I’m making sense here. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you all

PJ

Re: Hood bird

I have an idea, follow three steps in this order:

1. NO!
2. Add a pinch more NO!
3. Acquire some of the highest quality HELL NO! you can get and apply it liberally.

If you must apply a bird get a monochrome bird that matched you color exactly.

You can of course do what you want with your car but hood birds don't belong on a GTA. I have no clue aside from PG to get one either.
