Could any of you please show how the 91-92 chin spoiler is attached against the fenders? I see that the bracket I have is only used for the 85-90 chin spoiler.
I have a full front fastner-kit from Hawks, but nothing to show what goes where.
I’d appreciate any help as Im off to paint shortly 😬
Re: Need help on 91-92 front spoiler install - please
I have a similar issue attaching my spoiler- it is in rough shape, so I am having to do major repairs. That being said, those plastic tabs sticking out of the spoiler go THROUGH slots in your lower fender and the OER clips press into the exposed slots, locking the spoiler in place.
Re: Need help on 91-92 front spoiler install - please
Thanks man!!
See, my spoiler is a NOS spoiler that has never been installed, so there are no slots in the tabs. Any chance you have yours available to take a pic of the tabs on one side so I can see roughly the shape an size the slot should have?
Re: Need help on 91-92 front spoiler install - please
ChevyKen,
I believe 85-90 front fenders are bit different than 91-92 front fenders. They are overall same shape but spoiler mounting locations you refer to are different size and locations. So with this, the above tabs for 91-92 chin spoiler might be different for your spoiler. I have 92 camaro and used a 85-90 fender on passenger side since stock was bent. I had to drill slots into lower portion of this fender so my 91-92 reproduction spoiler could be mounted.
