hatch motor parts

Does anyone know where I can get the plastic bushings in the slide mechanism of a hatch pull down motor?

Yes. From Top-Down Solutions (aka me). The replacement nylon guide kit for 86-91 hatch pull-down assemblies runs $12.50 plus $2.50 s&h. It includes 4 guides and a new push nut (since they sometimes become damaged on removal). E-mail me if you're interested. I also stock the gear nut and motor housing. I reinforce the motor housings with 4 pieces of aluminum and epoxy were they mount to the frame. This is the weak point where they commonly break. Look at yours, I bet the 3 screw mounts are cracked (I have yet to see one that isn't). I can e-mail you pictures of the kit or a copy of the instruction sheet I include as well. FYI, GM never assigned a p/n for these, so they are not available throught the dealer. GM wants you to buy the entire pull-down assy for $400. Lon
