50% tint on the windshield??? You might as well paint it black. I also think you are getting into a bit much with the console, but then maybe you can pull it off.

I don't know if the Challenger steering wheel will fit, at least without modification, as GM and Chrysler normally need different mounting kits.

Other than that, sounds fine to me. Have fun.

It'll be nice, but expensive. Especially the dash wrap in leather; I was thinking about this once, but to get a peice that size is $$$

The Challenger steering wheel will work on our cars. I've got one.

There is the Challenger steering wheel. I wouldn't go leather on the dash, go fiberglass, that is what I did, cost me 100 bucks, and will never crack or fade. Also, the flames on the sail panels alone I think would be akward, try doing the door panels with the silver flames. My door panels have the grey carpet along the bottom, and I'm having the top redone in black leather with silver flames going through it. I don't think the grey floor mats would look good with all that black, leave the grey carpet and change everything else to black. Give it a nice contrast. You were right in your message, we think alike. My seats are going to be black leather also with silver Z28 stitched in the headrests with little flames going around it. I think you should try and do everything you have planned, even the console. Just I would stick with grey carpet with grey mats with black embroidery. And don't do flames on the sails unless your going to have them in other places.

...but come on, the flames are a guaranteed 25-30 HP

but seriously, go for it man... i love seeing some of the creations people do on their cars..and afterall, it is *your* car

..and RamAirZ, how much modifying did you have to do to get the Challenger steering wheel mounted (I love the look)?? Was it more of an all day, or all week project?? Thanks

Sounds good except for the chrome sill plates. I think that would look better on an older car. I would just leave them black to match the carpet.

thanx for all your guys input, i like to see what others think

i am not really sure about the flames, it might be too pricey

challenger wheel only took me two hours to install and that was becuase i didn't understand the directions so it took me a little longer

the grey floor mats can be bought off ebay for $30, the guy always was plenty on their and they are all new, but i might dish out the extra $40 bucks and buy black ones with silver embroidery

i happen to think crome will look great in our cars, and it will be different

i might do the dash in vinyl, but the leather would be worth it to me...

keep it coming guys, i like the opinions

The thing with the flames is don't make them tacky (spelt right ). Like my silver Z28 embroidery will have some subtle little flames spurting off the Z28, but won't be too flashy, along with the door panels, it won't be filled in flames, just a dark grey outline and not too big. I like subtle. I am doing this because my car is being paint black with silver ghost flames in may and I would like to keep the theme going but not overdo it. That's why I thought the sail panels wouldn't look too good. It fit perfectly, just buy the right Grant Adapter that you need for almost every Grant steering wheel. Took me about 30 minutes.

Lose the chrome and all the lights, besides that, i agree to a point. I perfer a stock interior(except steering wheel, seats) I just dont like a bunch of flash in the interior...

that sounds great and close to what im planning on doing.

couple suggestions.. if u use 4th gen charcoal/dark grey leather seats and then get leather to match the seats and cover the dash ect with that. then get floor mats that match that grey. it would provide enough of a contrast that everything isnt completly black and will look a little cleaner IMO.

flames.. if only on the sail pannels would look tacky. incorporate it more in the int or take it out.

i know this was talked bout in the audio forum, but dynomat under the carpet IMO is a waste of money. u would be just as well of using something like RAMMat and use carpet pad on top of that. i highly doubt u would notice the difference and would probably be cheaper. dynomat + carpet = rammat + carpet pad + carpet.

in the end, its ur car. do what u like and makes u happy. dont do or not do something just cuz someone on here told u to. ur the one paying for it and living with it. most importantly enjoy it!!

To each his own, but you did ask "What do you think", so you have to expect some negative feedback. I think it will look cheap, cheesey, ghetto, pimpish, and tacky. You appear to be a fairly young person, and young people are allowed to do silly things to their cars, so go for it.

You guys have really helped me think about this. I asked you to see your opinions and now i am going to use most of them. I often do very stupid things but your advice has helped me see that what i wanted to do really would have been tacky. I had seven straight hours at work yesterday, workless and computerless to think about this. Here are my revised plans:

NO MORE FLAMES!!!!

1.) Black Carpet
2.) Sound Proofing (Not sure on brand, loomdog's repetiveness started to get me to doubt about Dynamax)
3.) Black Floor Mats w/ Silver Embroidory (Grey would have looked tacky, I'll spend the extra money)
4.) Redo upper Portion of my new Door Panels in Black Vinyl (Going to see what Embroidory will cost on this, if reasonable i will get it in Silver)
5.) Black DJSexay's Kick Panels
6.) Custom Console w/ Black Carpeted sides and Grey Carpeted Panels
7.) Door Trim and Air Vents only in Silver Testors Enamel
8.) MacEwon White Face Guages w/ Xenon Blue Bulbs and Orange Needle
9.) B&M Hammer Shifter
10.) Black Leather Seats w/ Silver Embroidery

Is this still Tacky? I defiantly don't want to be tacky, so please help.

Also I was thinking about having my sunvisors re-uplostered Black w/ Silver Embroidery...Tacky or Not? I want "CAMARO" on them and going 50/50 on deciding if this is Tacky?

Doesn't sound tacky as long as the silver thread in the embroidery isn't that metallic chrome type of thread.

Oh, one more thing. Don't embroider any stupid phrases or names on the pieces you are going to have embroidered.

NOTE, That is the most times I have ever typed the word "embroidery" or any variant thereof.

I Want to have "CAMARO" On Everything (door panels, seats, floor mats, and sunvisors)

Of course in the correct font too!
