I have been searching in my 88 Camaro service manual trying to find out how to align the driver-side front fender. When I go to open the driverside door. It rubs against the front fender. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks,
I am so sorry for not getting back to you, I have had a lot going on and forgot the post. It rubs at the bottom right where the paint is missing. It's my fault I tried to jack up the car right under the back of the driver-side fender. The tire was dry-rotted and flat from setting so long. And that is what caused the door to rub. Here are a few pic's Thanks for the help.

This has nothing to do with the door. Would anyone know the average cost to have my Camaro repainted? The car had been stored in a garage by the original owner for some time. I was told the roof had a leak and the water dripped onto the treated rafters onto the car causing the clear coat to start coming off.

That's a bit of a loaded question with a lot of variables, where in the US are you? Color change or staying original color? Doing the jambs, underhood etc.? Any rust or other body issues? Quality of paint to be used? you doing any of the work yourself? How many panels will be removed for painting? To name a few
In my area trying to find someone to even do a full respray on an old car is tough (they all want to do insurance work, quick, easier, and you can do a lot of it) but say you can find someone who will I would expect at least 5-7k to get it done as a good driver quality job on a car with no real rust or body issues with good base/clear paint but that number goes up real fast if they find issues or you want show car paint etc. A lot of the labor is in the prep, you cut corners there it all comes back in the finished product. Hopefully one of the members who does paint for a living will chime in as they would know better than me but I painted a car with my Dad in high school once and its a lot of work, a real artform.
Just be sure to do your homework and have a realistic budget/expectations in mind...also steer clear of MAACO unless you do the prep yourself, find a really good MAACO(good luck), and only use their best materials. LSXmatt on YT who is a member here had a decent job done on his Camaro by one of them but he did a ton of prep himself. Another YTer Bearded Reviews had a bad experience with MAACO on his Camaro.
I had MAACO in Santa Rosa, Ca. paint the 1966 AMC Marlin, I rescued and restored. This was during Covid, when business was SLOW! MAACO* did a GERGOUS JOB, single stage polyurethane, in the original factory color! Price was a DEAL at less than $3000.00
I did NO prep, except remove trim, head and tail lights, bumpers and grill. The guy I sold it to took it to a local show and it won FIRST PLACE!
* Not MAA
CO anymore I heard, same folks but left the franchise, IIRC.
Looks to me like you have physically bent the fender upwards when jacking it as the lower mount is probably bent upwards now. Pretty sure its going to have to be bent back down but would need to see a bigger picture of that area as well as how the door to quarter fits.
