Storing Rear Hatch Glass
This is probably a stupid question... I'm planning on doing a complete rebuild and repainting and need to find out a long term storage solution for the rear glass, I was thinking of bringing it inside and standing it on end hinge side down/deck side up. it would be sitting on carpet or i could groove a 2x4 to set it in. suggestions would be welcome the glass would probably be out of the car for 1-2 years.

You could build a wooden crate for it to rest. with padding in the right areas,

Re: Storing Rear Hatch Glass
I stored mine for years like you are describing. I had it in my garage up against a wall with the hinge side down and hatch side up. I removed the hatch panel piece though and just stored the glass like this. At the floor I had the glass sitting on some fairly solid packing foam blocks with a v-groove in them. They came in a box with something I bought - like an ice maker or dishwasher, can't remember. At the top I draped some old towels over the glass edge between that and the wall. Seemed to work fine.
