I just picked up this hood and I’m curious if I can just drop it off to be media blasted? It looks like there may be some filler and I’d like to get the best finish possible. I’d like to avoid having someone else’s shitty work mess up my finished look.
I had a hood "Dustless Blasted" that had had body filler done and it warped the hood beyond repair. I ended up scrapping it in the end. Just some past experience to share. DA the hood if you can, the results will be far better.
I've been using an electric angle grinder with a paint stripping disc on my body panels. Stripped the roof on my car today in about 3 hours including digging out all the bondo from prior repairs.
