I recently just bought a 1991 Trans Am, so my headlights go pop up and go on automatically at dusk. Every time there is a bit of shade or I go in the garage they pop up. Does anyone know how to disconnect the feature?

 

Federal law in Canada required that vehicles built to 1991 had to have running lights. There is a sensor, probably a photoelectric cell that measures light strength & at a certain reading on go the lights. Where it is located, I do not know but I might guess the rear view mirror

 

I think the sensor if I recall, people said it was on the dash near the defrost vent
