Hood HInges quality????
Looking at purchasing a pair of hood hinges for my 1991 Trans Am. Can anyone tell me what they think of the OER hood hinges?? Very interested. Was going to have my stripped and redone but they have now gone out of business. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do the stock ones even wear out? It's a simple design with the biggest portion being the cylinder. If for some reason yours aren't salvageable, I'd go used or pony up for trick billet units.

I tried the OER, my mistake was having them powder coated, I think in that process they warped or something to that effect, had a lot of issues with them. I went with some Ring Brothers and they were a lot nicer. End of the day, stick with the factory units with good replacement struts, just the nature of how large and heavy the stock hood is nothing will make it open like a modern car.
