Ground Effects

I am looking into buying some ground effects, styling kits, or something to make my camaro look a lil more sporty. It's is a 1986 V6 RS camaro, anyone got any suggestions? pics of nice kits that are out there?

yes And its a lot eazier than you might think. First go to the dealer and buy the rocker brackets, then buy all the GFX's ( front bumper, front spoiler, upper and lower door pieces, small rear parts, and rear bumper ) used should be about $500-$600 then find a body shop to paint and install GFX's . All this took me about 2 weeks and $1000. It's always better to start with a iroc or z-28 or rs but if you all ready have the time and money in a sport coupe it can be worth the price to look good.

Not to put you down or anything, but there was no RS in '86, there was the sport coupe, Berlinetta, Z/28, and IROC-Z. Yours is a sport coupe. Just makes you sound more informed if you call it what it is.

your best bet is www.tacreationsusa.com
they have a whole set for $625 for 85-90 z28 or $725 for 91-92 z28

Convert 82-90 Camaro to 86-90 Z28 or 91-92 Z28:

Kit converts outer body panels to look like an 85-90 Z28 or RS. 82-84 Z28's and 82-87 Camaros will require change of parking lens and front reinforcement. Drilling into quarter panel, doors and rocker panel are required.

New aftermarket front bumper cover
New GM front lower valence
Used LH and RH door spoilers
Used LH and RH rocker spoilers
Used LH and RH rear quarter panel spoilers
Used rear bumper cover
Used RS Grille
Used RS/Z28 rocker panel insert badges (Your choice)
Total cost $625

Options :

Used factory fog lights and brackets, add $70
New GM "Bowtie" foglight grille, add $51
New aftermarket 85-92 style hood with new GM louvers/inserts, add $250
Used 85-92 RS/Z28 parking lens, add $30
Upgrade to 91-92 lower ground effects complete package, add $100

I've done the swap and its very easy. It just takes patience and time. The whole swap took about 3 hours total to do.I made templates of everybolt hole that I needed to drill, lined them up and drilled.I would go to the J/Y and find as many of the GFX's in good condition before you spend lots of $ when you could just sand them and have them painted.I got everything I needed for 350 dollars.Heres a coupel of pics. This first pic isnt mine cause all mic before pics got destroyed when my hard drive went. But it is the same except the paint. This one is of my car you can see everything that I drilled and bolted onto my car and I also had to do the rear spoiler.IF ya have any questions shoot me an e-mail.
