Weatherstripping for the top

1984 Camaro z28 convertible. They did not make a factory vert in 1984, so it's one of the aftermarkets that were sold at the dealership. The original canvas cloth is long gone, and I had a guy put on a vinyl top to at least have some coverage.

However, the weatherstripping is not right and I don't know what to do, especially at the junction of the windshield and front of the top.
Hawks had a piece that covers the top of the windshield and down each side, but Bruce said this piece would not work in my car. I have sent him pictures as well but hoping to see other folks thoughts too.

I have attached several pics from different angles about the top and sides.

Re: Weatherstripping for the top

I got auto/marine weatherstripping and placed a line where the top and windshield should meet close enough and it closed the gap to prevent light from getting through.

The driver a-pillar is messed up but I'm not sure I can pull it out vs replace it. So that's next.
