What can I use to hold on GFX and other body panels besides those flimsy aluminum nut things? BTW, are they one use only, or are they able to be reused?

I know the answer to this one its came up before I had the same problem with my car when I redid it the metal inserts that hold the ground effects on were rusted badly so I used aluminum to make new ones I then went to a hard ware store like lowes and found bolts with flat heads on them commonly used to hold down toilet bolts to the floor and used them for the front bumper cover I drilled new holes and used regular bolts to hold it on.
