The temp gauge on my 86 and 88 stay where they are when you turn the key off, and drop to 0 or the actual temp when you turn the key on. I would think you are ok just re-installing the gauge, it should reset itself

What if I took the needles off all the guages and want to re-calibrate them ? I know a guy that will recalibrate my Speedometer if I tell him my Mile Marker to Mile Marker time. What about the other guages? Is there some place that can recalibrate them?

THANKS!
