seat controls
what does everyone think of the idea of moving power seat controls to that panel to the left of the steering wheel in a firebird (the useless one similar to one on right side w/ defrost and hatch release controls) OPINIONS PLEASE
I wouldn't want anything that controls my seat on the dash. Not to mention it's a sort of "standard" that the seat controls are right under your left thigh. Get into any make/model car and if you need to adjust the seat, chances are that the control are right where you expect them: on the side of the seat, and under the front between your legs if they're not powered.

Unless you drive a rustang where the controls are in the front. I have also seen some cars with the controls on the door. Mostly more expensive cars like some Cadillacs, Olds, & Buicks. On mine, I had to put it in the front of the seat, because the lumbar support & side support switches are located on the side, there was no other place to put it.
The little panel is for driving lights, which you do not seem to have. You would have to lean forward just to adjust the seat, lean back, and then lean forward to adjust the seat, lean back...get the problem
The best thing you can do is probably get the trim pice from a car in a junkyard, it has the hole & everything.

I agree with jza.
