will the steering "colum"?? out of a 86 z bolt right up to a 84 z?

well thats my problem, there is good steering colum in my parts 86 z,with delay wipers, but i dont think it has cruise,or at least it doesnt say anywhere on the switch, and my 84 does have cruise but i never use it anyways, but the wiper and turnsignal swith on it is broken,so will all the wires work just fine?or what will i have to change to make it work,i know ill have to switch thewiper motor, but is that it??thanks alot for your time..

The design of the steering column changed several times from 82-92.

According to the parts & service manual, from 84-86 they appear to all be the same the only differences will be with or without tilt, with or without cruise, with or without delay wipers, etc.

My guess would be that you can probably interchange all the parts but the tilt/non-tilt columns are definately different. but the turn signal actuators etc would be interchangable...

hope that helps

John

Options and appearance changed between years, but they will all interchange (at least through '89, airbags may have severily changed things). I have a column out of a Monte Carlo SS in my '86 Camaro.
