Firebird to Trans am Tiallights

I finsihed restoring some 87 TA Taillights, the only problem I'm having installing tham, it only has 4 bulb holse and a normal firebird has 8 bulds total. I just need a little advice on installin them. You think the black back piece of my old firebird lens would fit with those ta lenses. I think if this doesn't work I my start drilling in to the back so I can use the bulbs I need.

when taillights are off car, you'll be able to see where the harness goes through the rear sheetmetal below the hatch. On inside of donor car seperate the two taillight wiring harness connectors apart and pull black insulator plug through the sheetmetal.

after putting the harnesses together and getting your taillights mounted on your vehicle, you'll have to junction a couple wires together under the driver's side dash to get the turn signals and brake lights working properly.

It's not that hard

I put 87 Trans-Am taillights in my 90 Formula and i DID NOT need the wiring harness from a donor car.
All i did was take one of the sockets from a donor car swapped it with the turn signal socket on the Formula and then cut out the small 194 bulbs and taped em off.
Done it took a total of 15 minutes to do the entire swap.

When I removed my tailight wireharness from my 83 there was a plug in the back of the car. When you do the conversion from standard to T/A style all you should need is the wire harness from the tailights, then unplug it.

I have not done this, but it makes sence.
