guages

i have a 115 mph guage cluster in my 1988 305 V8. i was wondering how i could go to a 145 mph guage cluster???? and what i would have to do?

Axle/Gears: 3.42 / ?
It's a direct swap. Remove old, install new.

Okay, then if it's that easy for a new third-gen, what about an 85? It only has an 85mph guage and it does WAY over that. I saw the tech article on the site but wanted to know where in the hell I'm going to find all the parts. I live in Wyoming, and their are VERY few 3rd Gen's around, let alone rusting in scrap yards. If anyone has PN's it would be a huge help.

Same thing. I have a 145 in my '86 sport coupe. One of the easiest mods out there (other than adding a playboy air freshener to your rearview mirror).

Slicked, the 85 gauges come out exactly the same as the rest. I don't have a part number for the 145 speedo from GM because I'm sure it's $300 or more. Whole clusters with the 145 sell on ebay for about a hundred bucks.
