how do the white face gauges look at night if you create them yourself? or is it a trade off and they arent really meant for night use..91 firebird are there clear plates that you can mount them on and take the black ones off?

Birds are all backlit, those gauges above are not. It wont look the same. Youre best bet, regardless of what others are doing, would probably be to buy MacEwens. His are tough to line up, but if you do it at night its a joke to do. He sells hyperwhite bulbs to increase the intensity of the lights, so you dont lose any brightness with the extra overlay, but honestly... I bought them from him and never put them in, i cant even tell the difference (and im ****).
Im sure making your own gauges are easy, lots of people here did them. But Ryan put a lot of time and energy in to perfecting his, and i can honestly tell you from the results that they are damn near perfect.

go three pages in, maybe four. You can see mine, although i dont have night pictures up. I assure you, it may be cheaper to make your own, but you wont achieve the same quality as his.
p.s. If you DO make your own, split the right four gauges in to found pieces, so you dont have to take off your needles...
