*** damnit, I got my new 4th Gen Seats, and when I went to torque the drivers side seat down, guesse what I went and did? Yep, torqued the bolt into 2 peices.... lets keep count of all the things that I've torqued to death so far:
1) Wheel Stud
2)Air Cleaner Wing Nut
3)1/2" Drive Extension
4)Seat Bolt

Now, all of these so far have been repairable, BUT, with this new addition to my casualty list (The Wheel Bolt) I can't see how in the name of G0D I am gonna be able to get the MF'er out to put a new one in. So, how do I fix this guys, cause lemme tell ya, this REALLY sucks.

Your best bet would probably be to drill it out from the bottom, and use a nut and bolt in place of it. Also, use some large washers, and some silicone to seal up the bottom.

 

Well at least u didn't "torqued to death" those dam bolts on the distrubutor cap. man i did that 4 times wat a huge pain in the butt.

Hehe, well, at least those aren't welded down like I think the Seat Bolts are. Well, I think there under a welded peice at least. This is gonna suck MAJOR *** me thinks.

Actually this should be pretty easy. It happened to a friend of mine years ago with a Trans-Am. You have to drill it out but make sure you use the right bit. At first my friend and I were drilling constantly and pushing on the drill but not getting very far. It was real slow going. Then we went and bought a cobalt bit for hard metals(I think that's the type it was) After that it went so fast it was a joke.

 

After you drill it out, then what? The bolt is in there upside down....how do I get the new one in??

So theres no way to get to the bolt from under the car or what not? Even Drilling? Man, I need to get this fixed, but I don't know where to start aside from knowing that I have to drill. And other tips would help here.
