ac/heater lights??

i was wondering if all camaros have the ac/heater controls that light up when you have your lights on? i have an 88 and the do not light up so its hard to tell what you are doin at night, but the other night i was in my friends 87 and noticed that his lights up. so i came home and took mine out to see if the bulb was burned out or something, but i didnt see any bulbs or anything??

Well not sure if they all do, but mine lights up. I believe it is a 194 bulb, you'll find it after you remove the trim piece that goes around the pod. Drove me nuts til I replaced it!

like joe91z28 said, its a "194" bulb in the back, top right side of the hvac controls.. to change it, take the front cover off, i believe there are 4 screws (t10 or t15 torx or philips or 7 mm bolt.. i know its one of those three) holding the control pannel.. pull out the pannel.. the light will be in a holder with 2 wires (black and tan, i think) goin to it.. twist it and pull.. replace the light.. reverse the order to put everything back together..

Is that a pun? lol

My light comes from a small bulb mounted on the lip of the dash just over the ac/etc. controls..there's a little white-looking plate over it, pull sof, and the bulb replaces...

hey, the bulb is right behind the controller assembly. I had to
replace mine once too. Just pull off the wholeface plate, the pull out the heater/ a/c controls a lil bit, and its in the back of the unit. just one measly little bulb. I personally feel there should be 2 for better illumination.

u could use a high output bulb, but i might look a little funky.. one side would be really bright and the other would be kinda bright..
