Spoiler Care
Spoiler Care
What should i use to keep my 85 t/a spoiler looking new. it is the rubber wrap around kind. I have seen others that are in bad condition and I want to prevent it from cracking and making the car look bad. It look like it is brand new.

The Aero spoilers are really strange, I have seen some that never go bad like mine, others that have buldges and rips all over them Usually what happens is there is steel pieces inside the spoiler that when they rust from moisture they expand and then cause a split. My left side is starting to bulge slightly, but my right side is fine.
Personally I am taking mine off and replacing it with a Fiberglass one from GTAuto Accessories.
there is nothing you can really do to prevent their demize but keep the car OUT of the weather...

thats probably all you can do for it. I do not drive my car if there is even a chance for rain. It is in a heated shop in the winter, so it really has not gone bad. I bought the car in Indiana and their winters are not as harsh as MI, which might be the only reason why the car is in as good of shape as it is...
