I was wondering how many things are actoully hooked up to the headlight switch and how easy it would be to give each thing its own switch or button?

you're kidding right..........

well the typical camaro headlight switch has three parts.

the dimmer, the parking lamps, and headlamps.

if you want to have a switch for all 3 separate; go for it.
