I was wondering if anyone knows if the body parts will interchange from the iroc to the firebird. I have an 86 iroc and an 85 ta and the ta is rusted on the front fenders and rear quarter panels. Can I use the panels from the 86 on my TA?

please if anyone can help me I would appriciate it.

You can't use the fenders and the rear quarters (in fact everything from the doors back) are all welded together. Even if you cutout and rewelded the rear quarters you would need to use the tailights housing from the camaro since the 'birds and 'maros use very different tailights.
But doors are freely interchangeable between 'birds and 'maros, and any 82-92 firebird/formula/GTA/TA fenders/hoods are interchangeable. You just have to redrill the correct holes for the gfx.

 

From Camaro to Firebird and vice versa the only part of the body that can be exchanged, are the doors. Thats it. The rear quarters are different, taillights are different, fenders, hood, bumpers, etc are all different... Parts that look similar seldom actually are the same.

I know you guys say that you cant use TA fenders on a Camaro and I thought that you couldnt do it either,but there is a 91 RS around here with TA fenders.
