Has anyone actually tried to fit one in a thirdgen to see if it fits or not?

Before anyone goes crazy with the "use the search" stuff - yes I did and yes I found a few threads but none that confirmed that they had tried to put it in.
And, for those wondering WHY, it is because I have a set of neutral 97 T/A seats sitting here, and I'd love for the carpet to match without painting one - as the thirdgens to my knowledge didn't come with interior in this color.

No they don't fit. And why go through the trouble when new carpet would be so much better? Get with Auto Custon Carpets and they can make a third gen carpet any color you want. I put in Graphite color seats in mine and am waiting for the matching graphite carpet. They will send a couple samples if needed or you can stop at your local upholstry shop and see if they have the complete sample kit. Here's thier web address.
