intermittent heater blower motor

just as the topic says my heater blower motor is intermittent

it only works when it wants to.......

its hasnt worked in monthes but it worked tonite...........

i am thinking that:

1) the motor itself is shot

2) my ECM is garbage

3) the relay is on the fritz

i say #1 becasue it is intermittent
i say #2 because my cooling fans dont always come on when they are supposed to
i would say #3 BUT i jumped the relay and the motor still did not work

help me out here guys

i want heat

in many years, cooling fan & blower motor shared a common ground. try stripping some insulation off the black wire on the blower motor power feed and running a jumper wire to an alternate grounding location. (exhaust manifolds and battery negative terminal are excellent ground sources)
