Repainting T-tops

I'm getting ready to redo mine because the black paint is starting to fade so I need the "What to use" and "How to do it".

I just did mine recently, I went to auto zone and got this stuff called trim paint, its made by dupli color, then when i got home i taped off the t-top where i didnt want paint to get and i scuffed up the part i was gonna paint with a red scuff pad then i put on a bunch of light coats it took me like 7 coats maybe more to do each one but i think it came out great, ill post some pics if i get a chance.

Thanks for the reply. So no need to primer and no type of clearcoat or anything?

I just used a couple of light coats of gloss black Rustoleum. Later I polished the paint (and the lexan windows) with paint polish and waxes the paint. Looks real nice.
