12 bolt LS1 rear brake question?

I currently have a 94 10 bolt rear with disc brakes under my 92 Z28 now and I plan on getting a Strange 12 bolt. My question is how much trouble/extra cash would it be to upgrade to the 98 LS1 rear brakes while getting the new rear? I know I would just buy the rear for the 98 style, but would it be worth it? Thanks.

Just make sure Strange installs GM 10 bolt backing flanges on the rear and you'll be all set to install the LS1s when you're ready.

I have a strange 12 bolt with LS1 rears, you will have to send in the LS1 backing plates to strange.(they dont keep them in stock) They will install them on the rear and send the whole thing back. The rest of the brake stuff will bolt right up with no modifications with exception to the E-brake cables............jt

10/12 Bolt Pattern

I was under the impression the 10 or 12 bolt is the same, except Impala rear axles. My first conversion was using the 93 brake setup, on an 1989 axle. But the 93 setup would bolt on to a 1970 Chevelle 10 bolt. I am currently looking for the LS1 parts to change the 93 calipers out.
