Need clarification: Considering rear LS1 disc with 4th Gen rear. Potential problems?

Need clarification: I'm considering swapping to rear LS1 type disc brakes from the current drums. I have a fresh 4th Gen rear from a 98 Camaro with 3.73's & Auburn posi I can swap in. Are there any potential problems with using the 4th Gen rear and LS1 rear disc brakes in a 91 RS?

I'm not aware of pitfalls with doing this based on the searchs I've done but I really have to know for sure before I spend a couple of hundred dollars on parts at Autozone.

Constructive comments & opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

The only "real" problems I know of will be hooking up the emergency brake cables, you'll need to do some fab work to make up a bracket for the cables. It's been done so do a search for it. Other than that, maybe a pro valve swap but that's it...it's gonna work for ya.

and the wheel offset. the 4th gen rear is wider than a 3rdgen, so you wheels are going to stick out 2"

I read a tech article from this board on swapping LS1 brakes onto a 3rd Gen with drum brakes with a 3rd Gen rear. Is that the article your refering too?

I hoped I might turn up a little more info on using a adjustible valve to dial the line pressure in for the rear brakes. Looks like it will be a trial and error thing.
