Do you have the backing plates needed to install the PBR calipers on my '87 9 bolt that came with the iron calipers?
If using the same calipers just redrill the backing plates for your 9 bolt.

No, stock master and prop valve is fine with front upgrades.

Ed, don't take this the wrong way, but the reason some us use Baer is because we want something more than a 2 piston PBR caliper. There are very few people out there who make a brake that has something bigger than a 2 piston PBR caliper and Baer just happens to be the most popular.

If I were stuck choosing between 2 types of 2 piston PBR setups, I'd buy yours no questions asked. But Baer does offer a 6 piston PBR caliper that will fit 13" rotors under most 17" wheels out there.

Doesn't Ed's 13" 2 piston setup fit under 16 inch stockers? I think that's a big advantage not having to go out and spend a bunch of $$$ on wheels just to fit bigger brakes.

No offense taken. Baer offers great stuff but at a budget that some guys don't have access to. Have you looked into a Wilwood SL6 or GN 3 caliper? Both are 6 piston and work well. The GN3 pads are HUGE! I did a SL6 kit with a two piece 13" x 1.25" rotor that fit a stock 16" Z28 wheel, very similar to the 12.2" setup some guys run.

Well, my car came with 15x6's stock, so 17x8 wheels and tires will be a nice upgrade for me.

No, I hadn't seen those Wilwoods. Will have to look into that for sure. Might be giving you a call when I get around to doing my brakes
