Where do you get LS1 backing plates?
Where do you get LS1 backing plates?
I found caliper mounts on autozone and advanced's webpages. But, neither store could get them. I can order them for $32 ea., but I want to make sure that it is the right part. Of course they can't tell me any info on them like do they come with the E-brake stuff or not. The dealer wants $108 ea. I can't afford that right now. Oh, none of the junk yards around here will seperate the backing plates from the rear they have. You have to get a whole assy. I can't even get a caliper from them. I just got a new axle and want to get the backing plates on it before I install it.
So, where do you find these things? What's a good part number?

The complete backing plate/ebrake brake shoe assemblies are available from GM. Try www.gmpartsdirect.com where they are approx. $55 each. Ebrake cables are sold seperately.
I'm looking at that page right now, I can't find anything. I have looked in the brakes, and axle sections. Does anyone have a part number? Maybe I can find it with the #.
Thanks anyway.

The part number may have been superceded by a new one. If the dealer has it, its likely it is still avail, just under a new number.
