one quick ? about drum to disc
hey guys i already have all the info i need but they told me someting today that cuaght mt atention.the shop that will be doing my ring & pinion swap told me that disc rear have bigger axles then drum,and that i will need to get the right axles for my swap?is this correct or can i use the axles on the drum rear i have?

If this is on a 3rd gen 10 bolt, the flange on drum axles where the studs are sometimes needs to be turned down a tad to fit the discs on. Any machine shop can do it for a nominal fee if need be. You dont need bigger axles for disc!!

the only thing i know i have to do is cut the drum flange and drill 4 holes to bolt on the back plate for the disc brakes.so the axlex are the same

Turning axles can be both a PITA and costly. Just buy rear rotors for a '93-97 LT1 car and they'll slide right on.

my brake swap is going to be from an 87 iroc.i have new rotors/calipers/pads/lines.so why will i get lt1 brakes?
