I know this topic has been debated, and many have said "it should fit". I am doing the C5 swap, and since I had the LS1 calipers handy, I decided to use them.
After matching up the LS1 pads with the C5 rotors, I could tell the radius wasn't quite right for the friction surface. After noticing that the pads are different part #s, I ordered up the C5 ones to be safe. Last night I was able to compare the LS1 and C5 pads, and they are *very* close, but the radius of the edges is slightly different to account for the increase rotor size. The backing plate is almost identical though, so the C5 pads fit right in the LS1 caliper.
Hopefully I can drive this thing soon...!! still need some slight clearancing on the tie rods before these wheels will fit.

Correct, the only real difference is the radius due to the difference in rotor diameter.

Yessir, and got the hubs and brackets from Ed. thanks guys! even with 275 Eagle F1 rubber up front, I can lock 'em up no problem. Guess it's gonna be time for the J50 MC and 1LE prop valve next....
