Hey everyone,
I just installed a 4th gen rear. I got new E-Brake Cables but they seem to be a little short. My car doesnt have the adjustment nut at the equalizer. How do I adjust them? Right now I have the new cables on the car, but they are so tight that my E-Brake handle doesnt even pull them when I lift up. Almost like the handle broke.

Is it a LS1 or a LT1 rear axle? Are you using parking brake cables for a 3rd gen or a 4th gen? Did you replace all three cables?

Its an LS1 rear axle, I am using new Raybestos BC94264 rear cables & the stock front cable.

I got the part # from this thread...

I believe that the stock front cable is your problem. I installed LT1 brakes on my car over the winter and the guy that I bought them off of included the LT1 brake cables.

The LT1 front cable was about a 2" sorter than the 3rd gen cable and the two rear cables were longer that the 3rd gen cables. If it's the same with the LS1, you'll need to get a new front barking brake cable.
