Ls1 brakes the stupid way

Conversion Spindles from Ed - 300 bux
New slotted rotors - 250 bux
LS1 calipers - free off parts car
New brake lines and crush washers - 100 bux
Fluid, rags and loctite - 15 bux

Putting the front calipers on the wrong wheels and spending 2 weeks trying to figure out whats wrong...

PRICELESS

It hurts to be so stupid sometimes... just a heads up to anyone tryin this conversion.. if you cant bleed your brakes.. make sure the bleeder screws are at the top

U know, I laughed at this.

But its okay, I'm a mecahnic by trade and *** knows how many things dumb I have done only to beat my head into a wall trying to figure out the dumbest possible solution(which is usually what u did).

But give you some credo. U got a big set to post this and I'm betting u will never forget that one again huh?

lol

I hear ya...along the same lines, I was installing an aftermarket CD player into my Iroc with a Crutchfield install kit. After an hour of trying to slide it into the slot, it still stuck out too far. I just couldn't understand why it didn't go all the way in. Then I looked on my passenger seat and noticed the black plastic adapter housing that gives you the added height...I put that on and it fit perfect.

Stuff happens...

Glad I have never done anything like that I once was buttoning up a 400 I built...I got way too involved with making sure the oil pan was sealing up well with the timing chain cover. Once I was done and satified that it would never leak......I look over to my left only to see the camshaft and timing gear laying on the parts bench! I was so pissed at myself I could hardly stand it......I hate trying to clean off fresh RTV.
