I have used the search function and found most of my answers, but still a few questions.

I am in the process of switching to manual brakes. Where can I buy the plate to mount the new master cyl.?

I tried emailing profabrication 2x and tried calling today but no answer. Are they still around? I would like to buy there complete set up for ~$100.

I also called PARacing today. They said they could make me the bracket for $50 at least take 10 business days.

Is there anyone else who may have these in stock? Also would the 80's s-10 master cyl be ok for a 4 wheel disc car? If not, what did the manual chrysler master cylinder come on (yr/model)?

I already have everything off the car, including pedal assembly, so I could use this info ASAP.

bump for a question i need answered too!

 

I was in a hurry so I just ordered the kit from Ed Quay Components (610-323-9560). It was way more than I wanted to spend, but it was a complete set up so I didn't have to screw around. Quality parts- Strange master cyl. They also had great customer service and faster than expected shipping. I did have to switch rod ends ( from male to female set up due to clearance issues) but no big deal.

so all-and-all how hard of a swap out was it? do you have some part numbers and prices that you can share with me? anything would help.

also if you can tell me any other little odd and ends you had to purchase.

The actual swap was very easy- the adapter plate/ m cyl were direct bolt ins. The hardest part was getting that top left retaining nut off the booster.
You do have to drill a hole in the pedal assembly ( move up ~1"). You also have to fab up some new brake lines.

I have maybe $250 in this complete set up. You could do it for much less, if you fabbed your own adapter plate and used a remanufactured m cyl off a manual s-10 or older chrysler.

I did have to find a couple of brake line adapters that switched from bubble flare to inverted flare (~$1 ea)

I have only just moved the car around in the garage/driveway- no actual street time yet, so I can not comment on braking,etc. Will hopefully be driving this weekend.
