Couple easy brake swap ??'s

I've done the searches but some of the stuff I've read is a little confusing. I'm sure there is an easy answer to these questions.

Are the LT1 rear brakes off a '94 identical to the late 3rd gen brakes 88+??

I have a disk rear out of an '87, will the LT1 brakes bolt right on using all the 4th gen parts brackets, rotors and calipers? I'm not concerned w/ e-brake

And last and possibly most important. Is this a significant upgrade from the '87 rear disk which seem kind of small?

Please answer......Thanks, Mike

BTW I've got a complete '94 Formula that I'm planning on gutting and using as much as I can on my Z, interior mostly but I'd like to use some of the mechanical stuff if it's an upgrade.

Yes, the PBR calipers from '89-97 are essentially the same and will interchange in those years. The e-brake brackets are slightly different but that's it. Also, 4th gen caliper e-brake brackets may hit LCA Relo brackets if they are installed and used on a 3rd gen rear due to the different lengths of the axle tubes;

Assuming it's a 10 bolt, yes. If it's a 9 bolt, you'll need 9 bolt backing plates;

IMO, yes. I will assume that your current disc calipers are frozen and don't work properly so swapping to these will be a big improvement. Do it...

Your exactly the guy I was hoping would answer my questions. It's very much appreciated. I do have the 10 bolt rear. I've never had it on the car but just turning the calipers w/ the tool is a chore so I thought I'd just go ahead and swap especially if I already had everything and it would be a better brake set-up.

Thanks again, Ed.... BTW do you still sell the C4 brake upgrade for the fronts? I read about them in an old thread. If so, what's the going rate? On a similar note could I use the 4th gen LT1 fronts w/ your modified spindles or does that only work w/ the LS1 brakes? Or am I totally confused? I've been messing w/ 3rd gens for a long time but never messed w/ brake improvements.
